The Magic Clarinet
“I can’t remember myself without the clarinet, we had a special connection right from the start”
This is the beginning of the extraordinary love story between Orit and the Clarinet. Through the clarinet, the audience experiences a close and personal story of Orit learn about\ the clarinet as an instrument of expression most similar to the human voice.
Through music, stories, and songs, the audience gets to know the clarinet in its various styles, from classical, jazz, klezmer, Ladino, to wonderful Israeli songs from then until now.
With audience participation, Orit presents the clarinet’s spectacular range of sounds, its virtuosic and moving capabilities, diverse sound types, and variety of moods.
With the clarinet, the audience travels into different styles, from classical, through jazz, to Hasidic style, Ladino, and up to popular Israeli music.
The program includes: Mozart, Monti’s Csárdás, Gershwin, Benny Goodman, Hasidic melodies, Ladino songs, and works by Naomi Shemer, Uzi Hitman, Yoni Rechter, and a medley from Fiddler on the Roof.

The Magical Clarinet
“In a faraway land lived a beautiful princess, all black, only the buttons on her dress were made of silver, and on her head she wore a crown made of silver”
This is the beginning of the clarinet story, through which children experience a close and personal encounter with the clarinet as an instrument of expression most similar to the human voice.
Through music, movement, play, and storytelling with the active participation of the children, Orit presents the diverse capabilities, colors, and styles of the clarinet. The children discover the clarinet’s spectacular range of sounds, from the lowest to the highest. From smooth and caressing to short and bouncy. From slow and calming to fast and brilliant. From crying to laughing.
The children sing, tap, clap, and dance, and thus also get to know different musical styles.
With the clarinet, the children visit the classical style, through jazz, to the Hasidic style, and of course, the popular Israeli style.
